BORDER CROSSING FACILITY, MEKONG RIVER, LAOS / CAMBODIA
Rivers and water bodies are typically registered as lines that serve as divisions, edges and borders inbetween nationstates. This project suggests water as a new territory of spatializaion. One reading suggests the border-site as a liminal zone, often ignored or disregarded as irrelevant. But in its inbetween state, another reading suggests there is a constant dynamism and never a steady-state.
The program is a border crossing facility and through this objective, aims for a more fluid continuity between political demarcations.
